[home] Netty/Footy Fundraiser The inaugural Footy/netball fundraised was a Petanque night held at St. Kilda Bowls Club. Although the netball club was poorly represented in numbers, what we lacked in quantity we certainly made up for in quality! Sponsored by the Athletes Foot, the night was full of fundraising games, raising $400 for the footy and netball clubs. The footy boys fought hard against one another in the big petanque game, however it wasn’t until little Laura took to the gravel that the game really amazed everyone. From out of nowhere, Laura’s one and only shot was so close to the yellow ball there was little chance for her to be beaten. However, a few tried…only knocking hers closer! The skulling contest was again fiercely competitive, many of the boys still fired up after their draw earlier that day. The boys easily took this event out, leaving the girls sipping at their beer! Thanks to Tim for cooking the BBQ and Shane for convincing people that $5 Tequilla shots were a bargain…even thought they only cost $4.50!
